Western
Water Company is a not-for-profit customer owned system. The customers
elect a five-member board of trustees. The General Manager reports to
the Board of Trustees and is responsible for the day-to-day operation
of the system. We have a total of twenty-three employees.
Western Water Company’s service area includes parts
of four counties (Clermont, Clinton, Warren and Brown. Our present service
is over 400 square miles and includes some twenty-three townships. Western
Water also supplies water to the villages of Clarksville, Ohio Department
of Transportation, 1-71 Rest Area, Ohio Department of Natural Resources
(Mason Morrow Road) Ohio Historical Facility at Fort Ancient as well
as the Village of Fayetteville. There are metered interconnections for
emergencies at the following locations: Village of Blanchester, Clermont
County Water, Lake Lorelei, City of Loveland, Brown County Rural Water,
City of Cincinnati and City of Wilmington. Western Water Company purchases
water from the City of Cincinnati.
Western Water Company has made every effort to cooperate
with our neighboring water suppliers. Our facilities could serve the
following areas in emergency situations: City of Lebanon, City of Loveland,
Village of Morrow, Village of Blanchester, Village of South Lebanon,
Clermont County Water, Highland County Water, Lake Lorelei, City of
Wilmington, and Village of Waynesville.
In 2006 Western Water Company produced and purchased almost
one billion gallons of water.
